Seasons Change (Part 1)

Tarja sat atop of a mountain, looking at the world beneath her. Changes were in the air and Tarja’s rule had come to an end. The screeching of an eagle brought her out of her musings as her partner in crime landed on a rock next to her. Her sister Anette climbed down from the eagle’s back and plopped down beside her.
“Hey you!” Anette loudly exclaimed and made Tarja flinch slightly.
“Hey yourself.”
“Sooooo…..”
Tarja turned to look at Anette and took in her wild blue eyes, disheveled blonde hair, and fidgeting hands and legs.
“So what?”
Anette bumped her sister’s shoulder with her own and smiled widely.
“Oh come on, your reign is over. I know you get a bit agitated every time it happens.”
Tarja chuckled and picked up a handful of snow in her palm.
“Only the Ice Queen in me. I am still The Siren, the ruler over the seas.” Tarja said and watched as the snow melted in her hand.
“We have caused a lot of havoc this winter season Anette.”
Anette giggled beside her.
“I always look forward to the look in Floor’s eyes when she sees how you have destroyed her precious plants!”
Speaking of Earth, the women heard the tell-tale sound of paws crunching in the snow. Floor dismounted her bear and looked down at her sisters on the ground. Simone peeked out from behind Floor and greeted her sisters before Floor spoke up.
“You have ruined everything!” Floor said and clenched her jaw. Her sisters simply laughed at her tight expression.
“You say the same thing every year.” Anette said and winked at Floor who turned around and huffed in annoyance.
“Will Sharon be here soon? My backside is hurting!”
Anette began to pace around, clenching her fists. As the Wind, she had never been able to stay in the same place for long. She could not be grounded for long and when she did, her anxiety levels went high. Luckily, she only had to do it eight times per year. Her sisters on the other hand were used to it.
“Calm down Anette and rejoice. You will soon be able to transport warm winds along the trees and seas.” Simone reached for her sister’s hand and the contact calmed her.
A bright light shone from a crack in the stone and out of it stepped Life.
“Blessed Imbolc.” Sharon said as her being buzzed with life. It drew her sisters in further towards her.
“Blessed Be!” The Elements exclaimed.
Sharon’s eyes swept over the mountain top. She rarely went up here, but when she did, the view caused her skin to prickle in delight.
“Spring is upon us and Winter must make way for the new season. Join hands and make way for Earth and Fire!”
The Elements all rolled their eyes at Life’s formality. They had done this for millenniums, but Sharon insisted that they would keep the tradition going.
When they were all joined, Sharon closed her eyes and brought forth the energy. The warm and electrifying feeling crept along her legs and arms and was soon transported to her sisters. Floor and Simone both accepted it eagerly, ready to awaken from their slumber.
When they were done, Sharon once more disappeared underground and attached herself to the planet’s core. Where her life began and the place she would always return to.

Her sisters bid each other farewell as Simone and Floor joined hands once more, returning to their animal companions and ridding out into the world, ready to awaken the sleeping earth.

Seasons Change

It all started with a light. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
It was from this light that she was born.
She was The Creator, the all knowing entity. The definition of life radiated from her being and caused the sun to rise in the sky and the moon to greet her smiling lips.
The Creator walked alone in a void as day and night passed by.
One day, the moon greeted the sun and caused parts of their surfaces to break free and land in front of The Creator before she was completely surrounded by darkness.
The Creator bent down to pick up the first of the four crystals.
The slightly red color was mixed with a swirl of brown. The Creator placed her hand over it and wished for it to grow before she placed it back down on the ground.
The crystal cracked and out of it stepped a woman with beautiful red hair.
“I shall call you Fire.” The Creator said.
She picked up another crystal, this one transparent with a slight blue and green hue.
The crystal cracked when it was placed on the ground and out stepped a woman with the most sparkling green eyes.
“I shall call you Water.” The Creator said and moved on to the third stone.
This one had a dark blue color with lots of specks of a lighter shade of blue and white. Out of it stepped a woman with an unruly look in her eyes.
“I shall call you Wind.”
As The Creator stepped up to the forth crystal, one with a dark green color, she continued with the procedure and watched as a tall woman with determination in her eyes emerged from the crystal on the ground.
“I shall call you Earth.”
The sun and the moon separated and went their different ways as The Creator looked upon her Elements with fondness dancing in her eyes.

As the millenniums passed, and as humans began to speak, The Creator and her Elements became known by other names.
For Sharon had created the elements, she had let them loose to roam the world. Independent, but still dependent on each other.
They met when the seasons were about to change.
Floor resided in the Earth, she had the power over the trees, plants, and animals. She rode around the world on the back of a bear, watching over her creations.
Anette was the wind. Unpredictable and always changing. On the back of a giant eagle, she travelled around the world and brought with her the news of change.
Tarja resided in the water. She travelled from the Arctic to Australia, bringing storms and ended droughts. Fish and frogs were her constant companions.

Simone was both chaos and rebirth. Just like Sharon, she could destroy and create. The fire danced in her eyes. The phoenix she rode could be heard from miles around, signaling either a beginning or an ending.

Hi all my readers!
I'm so, so sorry for my absence, but I got into college last year and I've also been busy with other fandoms and just waiting for the album release of Shine.
Here was an update though. It wasn't entirely Anette centered, but a mix of different symphonic metal singers. I still hope you enjoyed it!
